CES 2018 preview: Honda powers up the empathy experience

Honda welcomes our warm and fuzzy robot overlords to CES 2018.  (Road/Show CES, 12/14/2017)
The company calls this new line its 3E Robotics Concept and will represent it with four potential future products, each addressing a societal need.
And, in customary Japanese fashion, Honda makes a big effort to humanize these robotic devices, most notably with the 3E-A18 robot [at left in screenshot], designed to show "compassion to humans with a variety of facial expressions."

'Adorable' is a frequently employed adjective to describe these robots.

Their faltering follow-up to their #1 "My Boyfriend's Back", "I Adore Him" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending October 26, 1963.  It spent 7 weeks on the chart, peaking at #25
