New start-up promises to exacerbate housing crisis in unprecedented ways.  (Death and Taxes, 5/18/2016)
The San Francisco Chronicle reports this dubiously named start-up — which launched Tuesday in the Bay Area and New York, and hopes to expand to Dallas and Houston — plans to compete with “stone age” platforms like Craigslist by helping the rentier class squeeze every last penny out of those seeking the luxury commodity we call “shelter.” The way it works is simple: Simply post a listing, let folks place their bids, and watch all remaining livability drain from your city.
