The 2016 election in Wisconsin (And here we thought the GOP had a problem)

  • -0.25% Republicans
  • -15.6% Democrats

3rd party tallies:
  • Gary Johnson 106,091 (4%)
  • Jill Stein 30,899 (1%)

When it's not a November Presidential election



2008-2010 drop in Democratic vote totals:  40.1%
2008-2010 drop in Republican vote totals:    8.2%
2012-2014 drop in Democratic vote totals:  31.2%
2012-2014 drop in Republican vote totals:  11.0%

In yesterday's primary election, Republicans (with 52.3% of the vote) outpolled Democrats (47.7%) by 90,156.



No surprise then that Rebecca Bradley (52.4%) beat Joanne Kloppenburg (47.6%) by 91,613 votes -- 1,008,970 to 917,357.  (Four of Wisconsin's 3852 have not yet reported.)
