100 Years of Frank Sinatra: "Double Dynamite"

Double Dynamite, Frank Sinatra's first movie in two years, was released on Christmas Day 1951.  The cast of this alleged comedy sprinkled with music includes Jane Russell (as Mildred Goodhug -- yikes!) and Groucho Marx (as Emile J. Keck - hmm).

It did nothing to revive Sinatra's flagging, next-to-dormant movie career.  In fact, it had reached such a nadir that New York Times movie critic Bosley Crowther couldn't be bothered to review it.  The assignment was given to roving reporter Mark Deming, who, in a perfunctory 221-word write-up, provided a brief plot summary and this little gossipy tidbit.
Double Dynamite was produced under Howard Hughes' supervision at RKO, but bad blood between Hughes and Sinatra led to "Ol' Blue Eyes" receiving third billing for the film's leading role; the film also spent over a year on the shelf before finally hitting theaters.

No double dynamite here.  Just Retiring Guy posing with his first friend Jimmy.  (The summer of 1952, I'd guess.)
