100 Years of Frank Sinatra: 1st Television Appearance

As his daughter Nancy describes it.....

Back from Spain [where Ava Gardner's latest movie project, "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman" was being shot on location], Dad made his first TV appearance on Bob Hope's show Star Spangled Revue. Guesting with Peggy Lee and Beatrice Lillie, he sang "Come Rain or Come Shine" and joined in a couple of comedy skits, including one in which he played Bing Crosby.

There would be no TV, no electronic babysitter, in our house for another 5 years, so I had to entertain myself when Mom and Dad weren't available.
