100 Years of Frank Sinatra: "Night and Day"

One of Cole Porter's most popular and best-known songs -- it's from the 1932 musical Gay Divorce -- this version was recorded in 1942 in Frank Sinatra's first solo session.    Popular Song ranks it as the 19th most popular song of that year.

According to a October 2010 Vanity Fair article ("The Night Sinatra Happened"), Sinatra gave Dorsey his notice to leave the orchestra in February 1942.
