It's called willful ignorance.

As Craig Gilbert notes in a March 27, 2013, opinion piece in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, A lot has changed since Wisconsin banned same-sex marriage in 2006.

When 59% of Wisconsin voters approved a same-sex marriage ban.

In a series of national polls conducted in 2013, respondents consistently supported same-sex marriage by wide margins.


These recent polls show that 53% of Wisconsin residents support same-sex marriage.  No movement?  Hardly!
