In the News: Wisconsin Regional Transit Authorities

May 4, 2011.    Wisconsin State Journal headline:  State budget committee recommends dissolving four regional transit authorities.   The Joint Committee on Finance votes along parties lines -- 12 Republicans for, 4 Democrats against -- to add a provision in the 2011-13 state budget that eliminates regional authorities.
